Katherine Warner Gluck was born in Burlington, Vermont in 1965,
and entered the trades in 1983. She established Warner Gluck Carpentry and Painting in the late 1980’s. In 1990 she established Warner Gluck Carpentry.

As sole proprietor of WGC Katy specializes in remodeling and renovation. Her skills include project management and design, structural framing, windows and doors installation, finish carpentry, sheetrock and taping, and finish painting. With her expertise in these various trades, she can take an entire project from demolition to finish without bringing in several separate subcontractors.

Building code requires that electricians and plumbers be certified in those trades. Katy has longstanding relationships with local sub contractors and suppliers for projects requiring electrical and plumbing work, or larger-scale insulation and flooring.

Katy works as a sole proprietor because she values her ability to act as both a general contractor overseeing an entire project, while also being the one to do the work. She enjoys taking ownership of all phases of a project and being in direct communication with the client. Her past experience working for larger contractors taught her many valuable skills, but she truly appreciates working with a client to see their job completed and being part of a “design-build” process.

Katy has a joint venture with Stephen Heller through which they build custom cabinets, shelving, and “built-ins” at their two workshops. The workshops are located in Richmond and Morristown Corners, VT. You can view some examples of their work on the portfolio pages.
